Julian's 10 CAMERA SHOTS/ ANGLES


Low-Angle shot- I think this shot is fascinating in the way it portrays the low angle. You get the sense that you are inside the back pack and it makes Julian appear bigger in the shot as he's looking for something in his backpack.

Over-the-Shoulder- This shot portrays Leon and Emily have a conversation and it shows a genuine bubbly conversation going on as Emily is typing on the computer. The shot is shoulder-like and personal 

Point-of-View- This shows Leon tying his shoes and you see his hands so it appears to be him looking down, kneeled on the floor. The shot shows that he took the time out of his day to tie the shoe.


Nestor'S 10 CAMERA SHOTS/ ANGLES

Arial Shot-This shot shows a camera above Elizabeth lying on the couch. The shot shows a sense of comfortability that Elizabeth has while she's lying sideways. She is have a conversation over the phone and by the way she's positioned,  she might have been there for a while or is intending to stay in that place of comfort. The camera is angle also shows the whole setting and scenery as to where she is laying down and how her mannerisms appear from a higher perspective.

Master Shot- This shot portrays the characters in the clip and nestor as the leader. I think it is little anticipating because he keeps commanding the people to do pushups and you don't know who has the strength to keep going.

Dutch Shot- The shot portrays Elizabeth making a dramatic entrance into the media center. This shot gives a sense of dramatization as she pulls the door harshly and stepping in.

Group 1: Mind Gaps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEkDC6U4KYU What specific technical elements of the film opening did you like?  I saw a lot of extreme close ups of Angelina and certain parts of her body to emphasize her nervous behavior which I liked. There was one the camera was focused on her hand while she was picking at her nail and another where she was fidgeting her foot. Before she began telling the doctor her routine,  There was a dutch shot inserted that may have been to set a smooth transition. The therapist had some clips where they zoomed in on him to show his confusion on what the patient was telling him. I also noticed some cross cutting elements where the clip of what the patient said happened appeared and it jumped to the clip that actually happened which was really cool.                                                                          Pacific Rim  Pacific Rim is a 2013 action packed sci-fi, that tells a story about the upbringing of some alien creatures who came from under the sea, between two tectonic plates, called Kaijus. They brought destruction to many cities across the globe and a disease permeated with a drop their blood; even the military could not bring enough resources to defeat them.
